Viau Inc. was started by Randy Viau, with the intent of providing quality services for the construction industry. Randy came from a family of builders. He credits his dad for the broad range knowledge base of building principles that was bestowed upon him at a young age. Randy continues to have that same drive for construction, that he had as a young apprentice, while working for his dad. Randy finally fulfilled his own dream and started his own construction company as a young adult.

In 1996 that dream ended after a vehicle accident that left him with a damaged back. After back surgery, Randy again had the desire to stay within the building trades. He went back to school and landed a job as a designer at a truss manufacturer. The next step in Randy’s building career landed him a drafting position at a multidisciplinary A/E firm. This A/E firm was instrumental in fulfilling his goal at becoming an Architect.

Once acquiring his Architect’s license, he worked another 4 years for this firm. After 12 years and completing over 320 projects of various building types at this firm, he decided to start an A/E firm and teamed up with two other men to make it happen. Two years later Randy started Viau, Inc., which enables him to utilize his knowledge of design and his building skill set to deliver services to the building industry that have been honed by many years of experience on both the Design side and the actual Building side of construction. Randy is a Registered Architect, Registered Building Inspector and Plan Reviewer, Licensed Builder and certified home inspector. His licenses require approx. 100 hours of continuing education every year. Randy works steadily to stay ahead of the curve. He says, “I love what I do and it shows through every project”.
